Iggy Pop, worked with Bowie several times in the '70s and last night he performed Bowie's 'The Jean Genie' with members of the Patti Smith Group and 'Tonight' with Sharon Jones.
Iggy and David Bowie have a storied past as they enjoyed a working relationship and toured together in 1976 on the Station To Station tour. The pair also played and lived together in Berlin in 1977 with Bowie helping Pop write The Idiot and Lust For Life, his first two solo albums following the end of The Stooges.
Speaking about Bowie shortly after his death Pop said "He resurrected me. He was more of a benefactor than a friend in a way most people think of friendship. He went a bit out of his way to bestow some good karma on me."
