Liam Gallagher altered the lyrics to his recent single ‘Shockwave’ during a performance in France this week.
The wayward Manc used the opportunity to have a dig at his brother Noel and U2 frontman Bono in the process.
The Oasis brothers have been quite active in their endless feuding over the past few weeks. This time it was Liam's turn to stick the knife in a little more at a festival performance at the Carcassonne Festival over the weekend.
The lyrics of ‘Shockwave’s second verse are usually “Backstabbed all your friends/And yes it’s all about who you know“.
However this time around, he sang: “Backstabbed all your friends and yes it’s all about you and Bono“. Watch footage of the event below.
Meanwhile, Gallagher has been labelled as many things but “sentimental” hardly fits our description of a man, who according to Billboard has been referred to as Pugnacious, irreverent and combative.
However, his latest single “once” has revealed a different side to the legendary one-time Oasis lead singer. This new song can be described as both emotional and reflective.
On the track "Once," Gallagher sings about moments in time that will not be repeated again, "It was easier to have fun back when we had nothing/ Nothing much to manage/ Back when we were damaged/ Sometimes the freedom we wanted feels so uncool."
Gallagher’s lyrics simply sung along to a softly played acoustic guitar are contemplative as he sings, "But oh I remember how you used to shine back then/ You went down so easy like a glass of wine my friend/ When the dawn came up you felt so inspired to do it again/ But it turns out, you only get to do it once."
