A brand new trailer for the forthcoming John Lennon documentary, 'Borrowed Time', has been released.
Borrowed Time: Lennon's Last Decade, to give it its full title, explores the break up of The Beatles, and what Lennon went on to do following the split of the Fab Four.
This documentary will feature archive footage, previously unheard interviews, and eye witness accounts as it looks at the band's split and Lennon's career.
Borrowed Time will explore Lennon's career, from the release of his 1970 debut solo album, 'John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band’, to his tragic death in 1980.
In his time, Lennon also released the Paul McCartney diss track, 'How Do You Sleep?', as well as major protest tracks. ‘Power To The People’, ‘’Happy Xmas (War Is Over)’ and ‘Imagine’.
It will also look at Lennon's legal joust with US President Richard Nixon, whose administration tried to deport the former Beatles star, as well as his controversial relationship with his second wife Yoko Ono.
According to an official synopsis, Borrowed Time will "Follow the legend as he evolves beyond The Beatles, creating revolutionary music and standing at the forefront of anti-war protests that would make him one of the most influential pop culture icons of all time".
The documentary's logline also reads: “For the first time ever, the full story of how John and Yoko met is revealed and watch as the curtain is lifted on the 1981 comeback tour that never came to be".
Directed by Alan G Parker, this documentary will include classic interviews from Lennon, Yoko Ono and Paul McCartney, along with App Records CEO Tony Bramwell, bandmembers Vinny Appice, Earl Slick, and tour manager Henry 'The Horse' Smith.
It has been described as setting "the record straight on the truth behind many famous Lennon moments".
