The Hoff has a new record in the works! Knight Rider actor and singer David Hasselhoff plans to add a rockier sound to his new set.
The German pop star intends to cover some metal and ’80s alternative classics and has been working on the new album with producer Adam Hamilton, ex-member of the band L.A. Guns. CoS reports that Axl Rose’s buddy, Tracii Guns, is adding some guitar to the new Hasselhoff disc.
Speaking to Deutsche Presse-Agentur, the Baywatch acto revealed, “I’m doing some heavy metal songs on my new album. Why not? I do not have an album title yet, but it should read, ‘Everything is allowed’. I do everything. Because I can. Because I want to.”
In a Facebook video shared by Hamilton, Hasselhoff is seen recording a cover of Echo & The Bunnymen’s “Lips Like Sugar”. In the clip, he also announces that he’s recording The Jesus and Mary Chain’s “Head On” for the record. The LP is expected to drop in June.
