Last week, Timothée Chalamet played several of his favourite Bob Dylan tracks, while appearing as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
The actor, who has earned worldwide praise for his portrayal of the singer in the Oscar nominated, A Complete Unknown, also hosted the show, which saw him perform his three favourite Dylan tracks.
To start things off, Chalamet performed Outlaw Blues, from the controversial 1965 album, Bringing It All Back Home, where Dylan began using electric instruments for the first time, featuring an electric band.
Following this, Chalamet played Three Angels, which had featured on Dylan's 1970 album, New Morning. This live rendition also saw English singer James Blake on vocals and keyboards.
Blake also accompanied Chalamet for his final track, Tomorrow Is A Long Time, which was originally performed by Dylan in 1963, before later featuring on the Greatest Hits Vol II in 1971.
Ahead of this performance, Timothée Chalamet had this to say to the audience.
"You might not know the Bob Dylan songs I’m performing, but they’re my personal favourites", he said.
The actor added: "I’m so grateful Saturday Night Live is still doing weird stuff like this 50 years in. They’re either really nice for letting me do this or incredibly mean and this is all a big prank".
Speaking of Bob Dylan, the real one that is, the singer has announced his first run of shows across the US, as part of his tour of the country later this year.
