The Oscars have announced a few of the performers ahead of next week's ceremony. Lets have a look at which stars will take to the stage next Monday.

It was announced back in January that this year's live performers would not include nominees from the Best Original Song category, as previous years had done. Instead performers were chosen to highlight “personal reflections” from the songwriters.

The biggest announcement so far is that ‘Wicked’ duo Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo will deliver a performance on the night. Erivo had previously denied claims that she would be performing at the academy awards, calling the notion “wishful thinking”, though it seems her wishes have come true.

‘Puck’ reported that the two stars will be opening the show with a medley of songs from the Broadway musical movie adaptation. Although, none of the songs from Wicked were nominated for Best Original Song as they all originated from the Broadway show.

Additionally Doja Cat, RAYE and K-Pop star Lisa will be performing on the night. However, The Oscars X account has denied that the trio will be performing their recent collaboration ‘Born Again’, a dance-pop number that will feature on Lisa’s upcoming solo album. Instead they will perform something else “legendary”.

Finally, Queen Latifah has also been confirmed to perform, though the details surrounding her appearance have yet to be revealed by the Oscars.

Nominees for Best Original Song, that will not be performed on the night, are: “El Mal” and “Mi Camino” from ‘Emilia Pérez’, “Like a Bird” from Sing Sing, “Never Too Late” from ‘Elton John: Never Too Late’ and “The Journey” from ‘The Six Triple Eight’.

The nominees for Best Original Score are ‘The Wild Robot’ (Kris Bowers), ‘Wicked’ (John Powell & Stephen Schwartz), ‘Emilia Pérez’ (Clement Ducol & Camille) ‘The Brutalist’ (Daniel Blumberg), ‘Conclave’ (Volker Bertelmann).

Irish rap group Kneecap were shortlisted for both categories however did not receive a nomination. Other artists snubbed include Pharrell Williams and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
