A woman has been before court today accused of setting an XL bully dog on Gardaí.
54-year-old Veronica Maher of Sheephill Avenue in Blanchardstown in Dublin was before Blanchardstown District Court - along with two others connected to the case.
Ms Maher is accused of deliberately letting a large XL Bully dog out of her garden as Gardaí were carrying out patrols last Friday - which caused them to flee from the dog.
She is the widow of Jason Hennessy Sr who was fatally shot at a restaurant in Blanchardstown on Christmas Eve in 2023.
The court heard she is accused of endangerment of life as well as making threats against a Garda in a second alleged incident on the same day at her home.
Veronica Maher is also accused of possessing proceeds of crime, as well as having a marked 10 euro note which was used in an undercover operation to allegedly buy drugs from her home.
Her daughter - 32-year-old Jade Hennessy of Sheephill Avenue in Blanchardstown was also before the courts accused of possessing cocaine for sale or supply at the address as well as having the proceeds of crime on April 3rd.
While 26-year-old Kayleigh McEntee of Watervill Row in Blanchardstown faces charges of possessing proceeds of crime at her co-accused's home
All three were granted bail under conditions - while legal aid was granted.
