A major witness appeal has been launched after a woman's body was discovered in Limerick yesterday.
78 year old, Rose Hanrahan was found dead in her home at New Road, Thomondgate around 1:30pm.
A post mortem examination is due to be carried out this evening and gardaí say that will determine the course of their investigation.
Gardai appealing for anyone with information to contact Henry Street Gardai or any Garda station.
