A woman appeared today at Dublin District Court charged with the murder of a man in Dublin yesterday morning.
Gareth Kelly died after being stabbed in a housing estate in Kingswood as he tried to start his car to go to work.
38-year-old Christina Anderson of Brownsbarn Wood estate in Kingswood sat with her head down during today’s hearing, which lasted for around five minutes.
She made no reply after being charged with murder at 2:20pm this afternoon at Clondalkin Garda Station.
Judge Colin Daly agreed to a request for her to be medically and psychiatrically assessed while in custody. He also asked for a separate psychiatric report to be prepared.
She appeared in the witness box dressed in a navy blue T-shirt, black leggings and blue trainers.
The accused had her head down during the brief hearing and appeared to be talking to herself.
He remanded the accused in custody to appear in court again next Wednesday.
