How's this for a great idea of a local business adapting to continue to operate within the current restrictions?

Canning Station 2The Guinness Open Gate Brewery, the home of experimentation and innovation at Guinness, have recently opened a canning station, allowing guests to pick up freshly filled draught cans.

So you can now bring home one of the experimental brews on tap such as their new release; Sea Salt & Lime Lager.

You can also book a table in the Guinness Open Gate Brewery’s newly revamped, outdoor beer garden, where you can sit down and enjoy some delicious food and brews in their cosy new snugs.

GUINNESS OPEN GATE BREWERY 2

For all things beer and food the gates are open:

  • Thurs & Fri: 5pm – 10.30pm, last orders 9pm.
  • Sat: 1pm-10.30pm, last orders 9pm.
  • Sun: 1pm-6.30pm, last orders 5pm

Limited seating is available and bookings can be made on the GOGB website here. Unfortunately, they will not be able to accept walk-ups at this time, so please make sure to secure your spot by booking online.

Open Gate's Dublin 8 neighbour the Roe & Co Distillery have also offered up their home to local Dublin restaurants, no longer in a position to welcome customers through their restaurant doors, under current restrictions.

On specified days over the next two weeks, the Cocktail Garden will welcome two independent businesses, who are paving the way in Ireland’s food scene.

Variety Jones, a Dublin 8 restaurant dedicated to cooking seasonal ingredients over open flame, will be bringing their Michelin star experience outdoors, serving up a mouth-watering tasting menu this Saturday and Sunday (3rd and 4th October). Dublin chef Niall Sabongi, will also continue onsite on Thursday and Friday evenings until the end of October with his latest venture, the Salty Buoy Food Truck.

Limited seating is available, booking can be made on the Roe & Co website here.
