A YouTuber named Dylan, purchased a serial killer’s record collection, only to find that only one of the albums was from a metal band.
This collection was purchased by Dylan a few years back. However, he had avoided discussing it with anyone, as he felt disturbed by it.
Footage of this was shared by Noble Records in late October. You can check it out below.
The records in question, belonged to convicted serial killer Scott Williams, who was jailed for the murders of three women across a nine year period from 1997 to 2006.
Williams’ victims were 37 year old Sharon House Pressley, who was murdered in 1997, 34 year old Christina Outz Parker who was killed in 2004, and Sharon Tucker Stone aged 46, in 2006. All three women were shot dead, and dismembered.
Scott Williams was convicted on three counts of first degree murder in 2008. He was also convicted of first degree kidnapping, rape and sexual offences against two other women in 1995 and 2000, who thankfully survived.
Williams was handed down three consecutive life sentences without parole, currently imprisoned at the Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville, N.C.
“the weirder the person, the better the records”
In this video, YouTuber Dylan explains how he managed to get his hands on this collection of records.
He revealed that a man phoned him, asking if Noble Records would like to buy a record collection, which belonged to a serial killer.
This man had said that he was helping Williams’ family sell his possessions after he was sent to jail.
On this, Dylan said: “No hesitation [I said], ‘I would absolutely love to.’ Because first of all, I like to buy anybody’s record collection… But also, when you buy a record collection — the weirder the person, the better the records. That’s just usually the way it is”.
Having expected to find records from bands like Slayer or Danzig, Dylan revealed that this was not the case. In fact, there was only one metal record found in the collection.
“It was just so normal!”, he said.
A Strange Find
Among the items found, were records from The Carpenters, Johnny Cash, Barbara Streisland among others.
Dylan also found six copies of Michael Jackson’s Thriller album.
“The only metal record was an Exciter record, I think it was Exciter’s self-titled. Not particularly weird and not even really that exciting when it comes to metal”, he said. “It was stuff that you see every single day. Nothing rare, nothing cool”.
Dylan added that the only record he kept for himself was an album from 1970s band, Mama Lion, calling it the coolest one of the lot.
